This NFT is a piece of art that depicts the explosion of the Challenger Space Shuttle in 1986. The Challenger Space Shuttle was the second space shuttle of NASA that entered service in 1983. The shuttle successfully orbited the Earth 10 times and conducted scientific research. The explosion of the Challenger Space Shuttle was an accident that occurred 73 seconds after the shuttle’s launch on January 28, 1986. In the accident, seven crew members, including six astronauts and one teacher, lost their lives. The explosion was caused by the failure of the seals that held together the solid fuel rockets of the shuttle due to adverse weather conditions. These seals allowed gas to leak from the rockets and ignite the shuttle and break it apart. The Challenger Space Shuttle disaster was one of the greatest tragedies in the history of space exploration. This event raised serious questions about the safety and ethics of the space shuttle program and led to stricter controls on the design and testing of NASA’s space vehicles.
