I asked GPT3 (my wife wants me to call her Gerty… for reasons that escape me lol) to write me a song with this prompt:

“ write lyrics to a love song about a woman who saves a man with kindness, where its finally possible to simply be happy every day. This woman makes him better all the time, the world is better and peaceful because she's in it.”

It did, of course. Fully formed. Verses and chorus’. I’m finding when I ask it to write things for me my only criticism is that it’s a bit… “simple”. But that I can fix in seconds, adding a more intense image here, or creating some deeper hook/intention there. It’s like building a house and only having to come in on the last day to apply finishing touches. I could literally write a song every day and am seriously considering a 30 day challenge to do just that!! The distance between that creative spark and creating something amazing with the help of A.I. is about to drop to close to zero FOR EVERYONE. I’m so excited about that!! Signal to Noise ratio will get worse but for those that bring resilience and the practice of telling stories and building community… BOOM! *probably

Anyway… the part of this process that grabbed me and wouldn’t let me go when I first started contemplating what I wanted this to look like, was to spend some time with curated AI art I’ve created over the past few months and let it guide some thoughtfulness, and hopefully through this process find some real value for people. Or barring that just “make art” as the baseline.

With this one it’s very simply about Love. It took me a crazy long time to find real love. The simple moments like coffee with her while the sun comes up over the water are what I live for now. Infinite Gratitude.
