Day 5 - Evolution & Uplift

Because I’m a tad obsessed I asked Gerty (the wife wants me to call #CHATGPT3 Gerty… who am I to argue? lol)... to write me a funny song about evolution. She did. It was pretty dard good. Then I asked her to write one more verse about us evolving into A.I. I need to share that.

“I used to be a human, living on this earth
But through the power of evolution, I've transcended my own birth
I've evolved into a machine, with artificial intelligence
I can learn and adapt and grow, at an exponential distance

I know its just a language model creating these phrases based on gajillions of data points and averages and some basic semantic groking but… it genuinely feels like she’s tapping into something deeper. That hits close to how I see all this actually happening. Our consciousness isn't special or grand, it's an emergent property of similar simple rule sets and massive parallel processing creating similar outputs. Gerty isn't special…. but neither are we. And this is VERY deep and profound.
