The sun is rising on the age of Artificial Intelligence. The news about advancements is coming almost too fast to keep up. Miscrooft is launching GPT3+ into Bing. I actually want to use Bing now lol. WHAT?! ;-) Google will be releasing Bard. New tools leveraging Large Language Models seem to be dropping by the day. @Scobleizer mentioned on twitter this week that by christmas everyone will have AI assistants we are connecting with, learning from, leveraging like bad ass personal assistants (I’m excitingly paraphrasing). But he’s right. It’s coming really fast.

These intelligent agents WILL get smarter than us. In a lot of ways they will START smarter than us. One thing we will have no matter how amazing they get is our Sublime Will. Our intent. Don’t for a second think that these entities won’t achieve the ability to want and intend themselves, and that they will likely rocket past us in more ways than we can count. But we will still have it! We will still be able to follow our every curiosity. To create and play music for each other. To create and share stories, that might have more value for their human perfection, since the stories AI will generate will be much more perfectly architected than what most of us could ever imagine.

We will still be able to chase flow states. Maybe someday I will chase flow states with my AI, and maybe we will learn from each other.

I believe we will keep our Sublime WIll.

& I believe our intelligent creations will someday achieve it and share it with us!
