At the beginning of time the souls of the departed wandered, stuck between the physical world and the Spectral Plains. The gods saw this as a problem and so Coda was tasked with storing these souls and to this very day she oversees each new arrival as they enter through the Gates to the Underworld. This is her duty, as she knows it plays a part in a larger plan and she will be there until the End of Time as we know it.
