In South Africa, we braai a lot! This is essentially a barbeque, but anyone from SA will tell you it's not the same!
A braai is all about spending time with your family and friends, having a laugh, and a few beers. We braai when its warm, but also when its raining - nothing will stop a good braai! We also don't use gas!! Here, we braai with wood or briquettes, and you could have a small fire in the dirt in the middle of the bush, or it could be a fancy setup in your garden, it doesn't matter!
