Neoscona Crucifera is an "Orb Weaver" spider that is most commonly known as a "Spotted Orb Weaver." It can be approximately the size of a grape. It is brown and looks furry. When it hangs upside down its abdomen looks like two eyes are looking at you, so when it eats it will make you think it is a face looking at you. Usually they hide at the edge of its web and come out on the web after something gets caught in the web. They are also known as "Barn Spider" and it is the inspiration for the story of "Charlotte's Web."
