THE OPENING OF DUBAI AND THE UAE, MARCH 21, 2021. The first tile territory opened since the launch of the majority of countries on Earth 2. On March 21st, thousands of Earth 2 citizens waited anxiously to take advantage of 10 cent tiles in one of the most desirable places on Earth 2. When the time came, within the first minute, 550,000 tiles were purchased. This mass sale of tiles put a lot of pressure on the young Earth 2 servers and unfortunately, broke the system (leaving many players momentarily disappointed). The Earth 2 team addressed the issue with the following statement "555,000 tiles were sold in approx 30s-1m before the servers crashed. We apologise to people who missed out in those few moments but with this type of demand we cannot guarantee everyone would be able to purchase the property they wanted. If anything this shows just how crazily popular Earth 2 is and will only go from strength to strength". Of course, the servers recovered and Dubai tile sales continued. As of April 2021 Earth 2 Dubai has enjoyed steady growth on stable servers.
