The trichocereus cactus genus is one of the least studied and documented around. This art collection is inspired by the trichocereus garden sown and grown by DrCharles in North Carolina.

This collection will become the building blocks for a major effort towards preservation, propagation, and documentation of the trichocereus cactus genus which is currently endangered in the wild.

The "Desert Cactus Scene" series is fairly short and of a different style than my traditional sketches and essentially shows the transition from the desert and eventually ending up in cactus pots. Unfortunately, this transition from nature to human possessions is all too common and the one of the primary reasons for the endangered species status for all cactus! Along with habitat destruction.

This is a Black and White version of the Desert Cactus Scene #1

Be mindful, don't EVER take plants (whole plants, leaves, branches, etc) from the wild or national parks. It is not only illegal but destructive, unethical, and immoral to do so.
