Grim Keeper - Alpha (standard variant)

In a rare encounter with DEATH, he promises to let you live as long as you accompany him on excursions into the hellish world of the Undead to clear some prime real estate for his new condo. You reluctantly agree, and he restores you to life with a "Call me!" Sometime later you curiously head the call, and before you can finish saying GRIM, he punches you out of your undulating ratty body and walks your astral self eagerly through the Yawning Gates, across foul swampy land, and onto the ghastly turbulent bank of the River Styx. Time rushes past you here! With both hands, Grim gestures dreamily to a dry plateau on the far, far side of the river where he wants his secluded condo to be. All you see, as he hands you two coins for the impatient ferryman, is a perilous infestation of undead creatures and death-dealing twigs. You gallantly pay Charon one coin and hop onboard his rickety, spectral boat and set forth, armed only with the spare coin meant for your return journey. Watching from afar, you notice Grim theatrically plant the ponderous shaft of his slender scythe into the quaggy ground. You look back with bated breath, expecting some magical shock-wave to temporarily banish the creatures that are slowly noticing your imminent arrival. But he just sits down in an area of cleared ground-hugging mist, pulls out a multicoloured Fae sandwich, and reads "Ten Ways to be Adored When Landing a Lord" by Sarah Maclean.
