After her reign, she became a member of the Director’s Circle of the San Diego Museum of Art, Chancellor’s Associates at the University of California, Director’s Circle of the Minei International Museum, and Co-Chair of the Director’s Circle. Today, Kuusela is still an active member of her community, participating in charitable causes including cancer research at the Burnham Cancer Research Institution.
