Charles Oisten is a San Antonio artist who creates “physical graphic” work. The work you see here, are graphic interpretations of these physical creations.

Born in San Diego, CA to two Naval Airedales, he grew up in California and Washington. Following his family’s history of service, he spent a stint as an Avionics Tech for the USAF in Las Vegas. Many years later he would settle in San Antonio working in manufacturing and robotics. With his knowledge of mechanical and industrial fabrication, he uses laser cutters, CNC Routers and 3D printers to transform his digital drawings into physical artwork. These works contrast the natural beauty of wood with the starkness of acrylic plastic. His work is heavily influenced by his love of science fiction and fantasy literature.
